S.W.O.T. Analysis
A SWOT Analysis is normally done by companies who are looking at their business from all different angles. As a company looks at what it’s strengths and weakness are they also look at what opportunities exist and what could potentially threaten it.
Let’s step back and think about ourselves. We too are a business – a career of our own! Therefore, using the SWOT Analysis you can identify this same criteria for yourself!
How to use this template, start listing the following:
- Strengths – What makes you the best version of yourself? What skills have you mastered? What are you passionate about?
- Weaknesses – What are some areas or skills that you aren’t great at? We can’t be great at everything – so be honest and list some things that you would like to identify.
- Opportunities – What are some opportunities that you would like to work on in the near future? Is there a project, presentation, or new skill that you could develop? List these out – when you write them on paper, you can make a goal to work towards it.
- Threats – What could threaten your job, your relationship, or your career? Could it be technology, spending too much time in an a specific area of your life or not enough? Make a list of these too.
Now, that you have created your lists and written them on the template, you now have a visual guide that you can reference and continue to work on.
